WALL LIGHTS (pair)
1950s Scandinavian sconces with white glass, brass and teak by unknown producer, in very good vintage condition
WALL LIGHTS – pair of 1950s sconces with white glass shades, brass and teak, in very good vintage condition.
A beautiful pair of sconces comprised of cylindrical white glass shades sitting on thick teak bottoms, attached to rectangular shaped teak base by short brass arms. The glass shades are decorated with a altering white and clear striped pattern, and are cut in a angle towards the top. They encompasses the bulb and socket, and are held in place by a clever spring action grip inside the teak bottoms.
When lit, the glass shades appears as huge bulbs hanging on the wall, while diffusing the light – perfect for framing a large Mid-century mirror or doorway. They could also be a beautiful addition to a sitting area creating a cozy feel or setting the mood as bedside lights in the bedroom.
All original, but rewired with 1,5 m (4′ 11.1″) white plastic cord and fitted with Euro style two-pin plug – which can be fitted with a plug adapter, or is easily changed to your specific plug. On/off switch placed on the wall mounting.
Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective plastic cover.
