TYPE 5203 (pair)
Brutalist sconces by Holm Sorensen in the 1960s. Danish mid-century wall lights in good vintage condition
TYPE 5203 – pair of sconces by Svend Aage Holm Sorensen in the 1960s – beautiful vintage brass wall lights in good vintage condition.
Brutalist styled sconces, comprised of three serrated brass plates arranged to form a leaf-like shape – all parts treated with Holm Sorensen’s signature process, bringing out a wondrous specter of colors.
The bulb socket is part of the wall mounting and when the leaf-shaped shade is placed on the mounting, the bulb is located in the center of the lamp. This gives way for a softly emitted illumination upwards and sideways, creating a gorgeous light-pattern in the evening and a dazzling sculptural light in the daytime. As a pair they would fit perfectly in a hall way, on each side of a couch or even in the bedroom on each side of the bed.
All original including 2 m (6′ 6.7″) dark plastic cord and standard Euro style two-pin plug – which can be fitted with a plug adapter, or is easily changed to your specific plug.
Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective plastic cover.
