TEAK WALL LIGHTS (pair)
1950s Scandinavian sconces with white and amber glass, brass and teak by unknown producer, in very good vintage condition
TEAK WALL LIGHTS – pair of 1950s sconces with faceted white and amber glass shades, brass and teak, in very good vintage condition.
A beautiful pair of sconces comprised of round glass shades attached to a polished brass bottom, a curved brass arm and a rectangular teak plate for easy wall mounting. The shades encompasses the bulb and socket, and are held in place by a clever spring action grip (for easy bulb replacement) on the brass bottom. The narrow curved polished brass arm ensures a small space between the glass shade and the teak wall plate.
The elegant two colored glass shades – with white bottoms and shiny amber tops – add warmth to the ambiance, while the faceted pattern ensures optimal scattering of the emitted light. As a pair they would be perfect for framing a large Mid-century mirror or doorway, or they could also be a beautiful addition to a sitting area creating a cozy feel or setting the mood as bedside lights in the bedroom.
All original including original 1,4 m (4′ 7.1″) white plastic cord, fitted with Euro style two-pin plug – which can be fitted with a plug adapter, or is easily changed to your specific plug. On/off switch placed on the wall mounting. Tested and fully functional. Polished, cleaned, labeled and packed in protective plastic cover.
