Detailed information

ROUND GLAZED POTTERY pendant by Kingo Keramik, ca 1970s – Danish mid-century ceramic design. Unique and cute hanging lamp in glazed pottery!

A truly magnificent lamp, made in pottery, glazed with a wondrous specter of colors, spreading from white over green to dark brown-gray, while the inside is covered with a thin white glaze, revealing the deep red in the clay underneath. The pottery shade is richly decorated with patterns of small holes, emphasized by a rich dark brown-gray glaze, while a more greenish glazed is used to emphasize the collar around the top and bottom.

Richly textured surface and wonderful colors in the glazing makes this lamp a true beauty alight as well as idle!

When lit, the light emits through the holes, leaving a pattern of light dots reflecting the holes in the pottery shade onto the surrounding space. The open top and bottom leaves a direct flow of light upwards and downwards.

A true vintage addition to a hall way welcoming guest, in the bedroom creating a cozy feel or perhaps in the kitchen to accent a mid-century decor – where ever you place it, this light is sure to attract positive attention.

Marked KK near the bottom inside the lamp for Kingo Keramik (Kingo Pottery) – a Danish pottery, located in Funen in Denmark. Unfortunately we have not been able to find any further information to find about them. The pieces we have seen with the cypher KK usually have them same kind of colored glazing as this lamp – a beautiful multi-colored glaze spreading from white over green to dark brown-gray with hints of the deep red from the the clay.
