Gray blown glass pendant light by Jacob E. Bang for Fog & Morup and Holmegaard Glassworks in 1964 – in excellent vintage condition
KRETA – gray blown glass pendant designed by Jacob E. Bang in 1964 and produced by Fog & Mørup in collaboration with Holmegaard Glassworks – gorgeous glass ceiling light in excellent vintage condition.
A blown glass lamp – double layered glass with light gray outer and white inner – shaped with a wide body and a elongated narrowing neck. The double layered glass provides a completely glare free light, while the white inner ensures that the emitted light is evenly distributed along the sides and gently guide through the narrow open bottom. The gray outer turns very light, almost white, and emits a soft glow.
The combination of the blown glass and the very attractive shape demonstrates to perfection how glass and lighting can be almost magical together. A timeless piece that creates a lovely warm atmosphere – in the living room hanging over a dining table or in a corner near sitting area, in the kitchen hanging over a kitchen counter or even in the bedroom – anywhere you need an elegant touch.
All original, but rewired with 2 m (6′ 7″) high end quality, white fabric cord – for safety and beauty. Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective plastic cover.
