Detailed information

FLOWERPOT – red enameled pendant by Verner Panton in 1968 and produced by Louis Poulsen. Iconic 1960’s lighting design in very good vintage condition!

FLOWERPOT is a stunning light, simple and organic, with an almost magic allure. The upper shade is a half sphere with coral-red enameled finish outside and bright white enameled inside. Suspended under the bulb mount, is a reflector shade, which is another half sphere, smaller in size and turned 180 degrees. The reflector shade has coral-red enameled outside and red enameled inside to ensure warmth to the emitted light.

Designed and presented for the Visiona 1 Exhibition in 1968, where the FLOWERPOTS hung i clusters in various colors. Immediately put into production by Louis Poulsen in five various enameled colors: red, orange, turquoise, blue and white with matching colored wiring. The following year the Flowerpots Table Lamp and the Flowerpot Garden Light joined the colorful FLOWERPOT Series. The FLOWERPOT pendant became a huge success, used both in private homes and in many public buildings. Both the Flowerpot Table Lamp and the Flowerpot Pendant is still in produced today although by another producer, Danish &tradition.

The stylish timeless design combined with the many color options, makes the FLOWERPOT fit almost anywhere – hanging in a cluster, in a row or as a single light.
