No. 1034, large vintage Danish ceramic lamp with orange glass by Jette Helleroe (presumed) for Axella Design in the 1970s, in excellent vintage condition
CERAMIC PENDANT, No. 1034 by Jette Helleroe (presumed) for Danish Axella Design in 1970s. Large vintage ceramic lamp with orange glass in excellent vintage condition.
A beautiful ceramic pendant with a large curved shade, wavy rims and pinched neck. The shade is covered with a matte glaze in brown and beige tones, spanning from deep rich brown to delicate beige, almost white on the outside, while the inside is kept all beige to ensure optimal reflection of the emitted light. Just below the pinched neck sits nine orange glass circles with a swirly embossed pattern, giving a beautiful effect when lit.
When lit, the wide open bottom provides plenty of downward light, and the open top gives some upward light as well. The orange glass circles glow, adding warmth to the ambiance, and emphasizing the very 1970s expression.
This vintage pendant could be a beautiful retro addition to the living room, kitchen or in smaller hallway welcoming guests.
Complete with original brass chain suspension and ceramic canopy all measuring 1,10 m (3′ 7.3″) measured from the ceiling to the top of the lamp. Fitted with safety clamps for easy connection to existing ceiling-wiring. Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective plastic cover.
