Detailed information

ORIENT MINOR copper pendant pair by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup in 1963 – super attractive pair of copper lamps with rosewood tops, in very good vintage condition.

An attractive pendant pair made in solid copper with teardrop-shaped shade and a cone-shaped rosewood piece on top. Inside they have a white inner coating for ensure optimal reflection of the light. The wide bottoms provide plenty of downward direct light.

Characterized by the soft – almost hypnotizing, lines and the shiny copper with the dark rosewood on top, these lamps fit in almost anywhere in a modern home – hanging beside each other over a dining table setting or a kitchen island or perhaps as mid-century pieces in an office space.

The ORIENT MINOR is part of a lighting series designed by Jo Hammerborg in 1963, which included pendants in two sizes – available in copper, brass or aluminum. 5 years later a table lamp version was introduced, soon to be followed by a larger table lamp. Up for sale here is a pair of the smallest pendants, comprised of copper with rosewood top.

All original, but rewired with 2 m (6′ 6.7″) high end quality, black fabric cord – for safety and beauty. Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective bag.
