Stoneware table lamp by Danish ceramist Jette Helleroe for AXELLA Design in the 1970s. Attractive Greek style table light with shade included
NO. 641, stoneware table lamp by Danish ceramist Jette Helleroe for AXELLA Design in the 1970s – beautiful Greek style table light with white pleated shade included, all in excellent vintage condition.
This attractive stoneware table lamp stand features a cylindrical body with a slightly curved collar before narrowing into a short neck. Both the body and the neck are covered with a delicate very light blue, almost off-white matte glaze – except near the bottom of the body, the top of the neck and around the curved collar, which have a dark pastel blue matte glaze. The collar is decorated with a Greek inspired swirl-pattern.
Its delicate color-palette is complimented by the white pleated shade, making the Greek style pattern stand out. It would be a beautiful addition to a Scandinavian Modern credenza in the living room, or on a drawer in the entryway welcoming guests, perhaps in the bedroom as a vintage bedside light.
Underneath hallmarked AXELLA and Hellerøe Keramik, and numbered 641.
All original, including 1,3 m (4′ 3.2″) plastic cord with Euro style plug, which is easily changed to your specific plug. Tested and fully functional. The bulb mount features on/off switch.
