GLASS SCONCES (pair)
Rare pair of beautiful dark gray glass and brass wall lights by Holm Sorensen in the 1960s in excellent vintage condition
GLASS SCONCES, pair by Svend Aage Holm Sorensen in the 1960s – Rare pair of Danish mid century dark gray glass and brass wall lights in excellent vintage condition.
A beautiful pair of wall lamps comprised of hand molded glass rods, layered and arranged in a rectangular design with two elongated rods in the middle, and mounted on a brass wall bracket. The glass ‘shades’ slide onto the wall mounting, and thus completely conceal the bulb socket, placed on the mounting.
Each glass rod is smooth and dark gray, almost brown in the color, which softens the ambiance, and creates a warm light. The open top and bottom provides beams of light above and below the sconces, while the layered arrangement of glass rod creates a star-like pattern towards the sides.
Beautiful pair of wall lamps with a rustic, yet very stylish expression, that would look gorgeous almost anywhere in the modern home – in the living room emphasizing a wall piece or a sitting area, in the hallway framing a doorway or large mirror, or even in the bedroom as beside lights.
All original, but rewired with 1,5 m (4′ 11.1″) white plastic cord, fitted with on/off switch placed at convenient height at the cord and Euro style plug – which is easily changed to your specific plug. Tested and fully functional.
