Pair of sconces by Vitrika in the 1960s. A gorgeous pair of brass wall lights with golden pressed glass pieces in very good vintage condition
GALLALAMPET, pair of sconces by Danish lighting producer Vitrika in the 1960s – gorgeous pair of polished brass wall lamps with golden pressed glass – and still in very good vintage condition!
A pair of half-spherical shaped sconces featuring four champagne, almost golden, colored thick pressed glass, secured and held in place by a broad polished brass rim at the top and a polished brass plate towards the bottom and all attached to a cream-white mounting plate. In the middle of the bottom brass plate sits the bulb socket, so the emitted light is distributed evenly on all four glass pieces.
When lit, they radiates warmth and coziness, as the champagne colored glass pieces colors the ambiance in a golden tone, while scattering the light sideways. The open tops provides a large cone of light right above it, making them perfect as accent light near a large Mid Century mirror or door frame – or perhaps in the living room accent your favorite area. They would look equally as beautiful as bedside lights adding a Hollywood Regency touch.
All original, but rewired with 1,5 m (4′ 11.1″) white plastic cord and fitted with on/off switch placed at convenient height at the cord and Euro style plug – which is easily changed to your specific plug. Tested and fully functional.
