Scandinavian Modern polished copper lamp with rise-and-fall suspension by Sidse Werner for Holmegaard in the late 1970s
COPPER PENDANT by Sidse Werner (presumed) for Holmegaard in the 1970s – Scandinavian Modern polished copper hanging light in good vintage condition.
A minimalist copper pendant comprised of a large slightly trumpet shaped copper shade with a cylinder shaped copper top and a stylish aluminum handle underneath it, all polished to bring back the shiny glare of the metals. The slightly trumpet shape guides the emitted light downwards, while the polished copper ensures both optimal reflection of the light and warmth in the ambiance.
The slightly curved shaped with gleaming surface gives this piece an almost maritime vibe, while still keeping a very simple and Scandinavian Modern expression. It would suit any dining table setting as the polished copper captures the contours of the surroundings and oozes warmth and coziness. It features the original black rise and fall suspension, which is able to the adjust the hanging height to be between 45 – 120 cm (1′ 5.7″ – 3′ 11.2″), measured from the ceiling to the top of the lamp.
