Danish mid century brass lamp with new rise-and-fall suspension by Frandsen Lighting in the 1970s, in very good vintage condition
BRASS PENDANT, No. 777 by Frandsen Lighting, 1970s – Danish mid-century polished brass lamp fitted with new rise-and-fall suspension, in very good vintage condition.
A stylish brass hanging lamp comprised of a large slightly trumpet-shaped shade with a decorative band and an opposite trumpet-shaped brass top, and underneath a curved handle is holding a sphere, all polished to bring out the shiny glare of the beautiful golden brass. The large shade guides the emitted light downwards, while the polished brass ensures both optimal reflection of the light and warmth in the ambiance.
The slightly curved shaped with gleaming surface gives this piece an almost maritime vibe, while still keeping a very simple and Mid-century Modern expression. It would suit any dining table setting as the polished brass captures the contours of the surroundings and oozes warmth and coziness. It is fitted with a new black textile rise-and-fall suspension, which is able to the adjust the hanging height to be between 45-140 cm/1′ 5.7″-4′ 7.1″, measured from the ceiling to the top of the lamp.
