AMBER GLASS FIXTURE
1960s Scandinavian hanging light with brass tops and teak crossbar by unknown producer, all in very good vintage condition
AMBER GLASS FIXTURE, 1960s Scandinavian hanging light with brass tops and teak crossbar, all in very good vintage condition.
This attractive mid-century pendant fixture is comprised of three identical glass shades with cylindrical brass tops and a teak boomerang crossbar. Each glass shade is dark amber, almost yellowish, and covered with faceted ornamentation – both inside and outside – to ensure optimal scattering of the emitted light. The teak crossbar stabilize the three light and offers opportunity to change the hanging height of each individual light.
When lit, the dark amber color gives off a warm yellowish ambiance, while providing plenty of light downwards and to the sides – perfect for lighting up a smaller staircase in a hallway, or accenting your favorite sitting area – providing a warm 1960s feeling. You could also choose to have them hanging beside each other over a kitchen island or mid century dining table setting add a cozy illumination.
All original parts, but rewired with 2 m (6′ 7″) high end quality, white fabric cord – for safety and beauty. Tested and fully functional. A plastic hook which all three cords go through (seen in photo 7) is included, but not a canopy! Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective bag.
