AMBER CRYSTAL LIGHT – 1950s Scandinavian mid century amber crystal ball with white inner glass and polished brass top – all in very good vintage condition.

An absolutely gorgeous crystal glass hanging lamp, comprised of two glass shades and a flat brass top. The large spherical outer shade is amber, almost yellowish in the tone and decorated with round “craters” (indentations) pattern all round it, resembling large bubbles when touched. The cylindrical inner glass is decorated with a hand-painted pattern of alternating white and “frosted” stripes – for scattering and diffusing of the emitted light. A flat polished brass piece secures both crystal shades towards the top.

When hung, the combination of stripes and the bubbles almost makes it appear as having a charming tartan pattern. And when lit, the lights journey through the white and frosted stripes and amber bubbles, makes for a soft diffused ambient light, while the open bottom leaves a direct flow of light downwards – perfect for dining table setting where a mid century touch is needed, or over a kitchen island. It would look equally as beautiful in a hallway welcoming guests.

All original parts, but rewired with 2 m (6′ 7″) high end quality, black fabric cord – for safety and beauty. Tested and fully functional. Polished, cleaned, labeled and packed in protective bag.
