FD 108 ROCKING CHAIR
Danish vintage rocking chair with original cushions by Ole Wanscher for France & Daverkosen in 1951, in very good vintage condition
FD 108 Rocking chairs by Ole Wanscher for France & Daverkosen in 1951 – understated beauty with original sand colored cushions, in very good vintage condition.
A super attractive rocking chair with a clear mid-century Danish expression, made with stained beech frame and original spring cushions. The sleek armrests slant slightly backward and is slightly wider than the rest of the frame to offer perfect support for the arms when sitting. At the front, the armrest continues straight down into the curved feet, which extend further backward than the seating. The backrest has four vertical bars to give excellent back support, and the seating, which slants backward, has the original metal support underneath the cushion.
The organic frame with soft rounded edges and no corners oozes craftsmanship, and with its understated beauty and comfortable seating, it would add style and classic to any living room, lounge area, bedroom or even entryway.
Danish Mid-century Modern rocking chair with gorgeous subtle details, and it comes with the original spring cushions with sand colored upholstery. The frame has been deep cleaned and finished with oil-treatments. It is in very good vintage condition with very few signs of usage and age on the frame and upholstery – nothing replaced or “fixed”. Please see the photos.
