Detailed information

CANDLE HOLDER by Dantoft Kunstartikler, Denmark circa 1960s. Unique and sculptural sconce in black wrought iron with a blue glass stone – good vintage condition.

A sculptural sconce made in curved black lacquered, welded wrought iron and a clear-blue thick glass stone in the middle. The curved black wrought iron ends in a shallow candle holder, suitable for a large candle up to 3″ (7,5 cm) in width.

The clear-blue polished glass stone in the middle are placed to reflect the flickering candlelight and thus creating shadows to the surrounding wall. A true vintage addition to any modern decor – and is sure to catch positive attention from your guests!

The wall sconce was made by Dantoft, a company that had their heyday in the 1960s and 1970s. Dantoft designed wall sculptures in many different forms and shapes, some as candle holders and some as wall sculptures with shallow candle holder at the bottom. One theme connected all the wall sculptures; carefully arranged glass pieces – so light would be reflected in the many colorful glass pieces.
