Wrought iron by DANTOFT in the 1960s. Beautiful black candle holder with 3 blue glass stones in very good vintage condition
SCONCE wrought iron by Dantoft Kunstartikler, Denmark circa 1960s – beautiful and sculptural black candle holder with 3 blue glass stones, in very good vintage condition.
A sculptural sconce made in black lacquered, welded wrought iron and three round polished clear blue glass stones. The wrought iron is bend into the shape of a bouquet of three sunflowers, standing in a shallow candle holder, suitable for a pillar candle up to 3″ (7,5 cm) in width. The clear blue glass stones are placed to reflect the flickering candlelight and thus creating shadows to the surrounding wall.
This beautiful wondrous SCONCE with its charming sunflower-like shape and clear blue glass stones would look amazing at the end of a long hall way or a vintage addition to a living space.
It is produced by Dantoft, a company that had their heyday in the 1960s and 1970s. Dantoft designed wall sculptures in many different forms and shapes, some as candle holders and some as wall sculptures with shallow candle holder at the bottom. One theme connected all the wall sculptures; carefully arranged glass pieces – so light would be reflected in the many colorful glass pieces.
Please note, that I have a small number of different wall sconces by Dantoft in my shop – please check the shop!
