About the design

This wall lamp is produced by Lyskær (Lyskaer) in the late 1960s to early 1970s.

It is comprised of plastic shade, brass lacquered metal cylinder and wooden mounting. The milky-yellowish plastic shade features faceted ornamentation both inside and outside, which scatters the light perfectly. The shade is secured to the bulb socket, which is concealed inside the cylindrical brass lacquered metal piece. A brass arm, emerging from the wooden mounting, pierces the cylindrical brass lacquered metal piece in the middle and is covered by a faceted wooden piece at the end.

When lit, the milky-yellowish shade turns almost golden in the tone and the faceted ornamentation creates wonderful light pattern on the surrounding wall. The open top in the shade ensures good upward directed light.
