About the design
Tema VI is designed by Ib Fabiansen for Fog & Morup in 1966.
The floor lamp, TEMA VI, is comprised of 15 thin fir strips forming a cylinder with off-white linen screen inside. Three strip extends into legs, elevating it from the floor, and thus giving a downward lighting effect. On top lies a round fir lit to limit the upward light.
When lit, the off-white linen screens becomes golden and creates a soft diffused illumination to the surroundings, making this set perfect for almost any room in the modern home – in the living room to emphasize a corner and a sitting area, in the bedroom for cozy illumination or perhaps in a large hallway.
In the 1960s Danish architect Ib Fabiansen designed a lighting series, called TEMA, produced by Fog & Mørup. The TEMA series consisted of two wall lamps (TEMA I + TEMA II), a table lamp (TEMA III), two pendants (TEMA IV + TEMA V) and a floor lamp (TEMA VI). All produced in northern fir with a linen screen inside.
