About the design

Gorgeous copper and black, space age pendant. Made up of two inner rings, painted copper color outside with white inner – surrounded by larger outer ring – black with orange inner.

The top ring is actually a cylinder shape, open in the bottom, and closed on top. The top part features Jo Hammerborg’s signature “peep holes” for the light to peak trough, adding emission of a unique pattern of light. It also houses the bulb mount.

The Juno was designed in 1966, with brass lacquered top and bottom shades, and the center ring painted a matte black – a classic Hammerborg design trademark.

In 1969 Jo Hammerborg and F&M produced a Rainbow Line, which featured a number of existing lamp designs (and a few new ones) now offered in vibrant full colored versions. The colors were red, yellow, blue and white.

Bonus info: Fog & Mørup’s Rainbow Line is contemporary with Louis Poulsen’s Young Line, which in a similar fashion re-introduced existing designs in new bright colors. Amongst these Jørn Utzon’s NAVY PENDANT and Verner Panton’s FLOWERPOT and TOPAN.

F&M followed up with the White Line, in opposition to Rainbow Line marketed as “Attractive, simple lights that can be used in almost any interior, irrespective of color key or materials”
