About the design

This copper pendant is designed by Svend Aage Holm Sørensen in the 1960s.

A medium sized (14.2″ / 36 cm wide) pendant light – comprised of 9 rings of serrated copper shades encompassing each other. All acid-treated by Holm Sorensen’s special process (this is his signature), giving each copper ring a black rim and a wondrous specter of copper colors.

The nine tiers give way for the light to be emitted softly through the narrow space between the rings, while the warm copper colors the ambiance in a warm slightly orange / red tone.

Gorgeous 1960s pendant with many applications – imagine it over modern dinning table to accent a warm mid century atmosphere or maybe hung over a stairwell in the hallway, providing a cozy illumination to welcome your guests – no matter where you place them – it will for sure attract positive attention and start conversations!
