About the design

Sconce by Dantoft Kunstartikler, Denmark circa 1970s. Unique artisan work and wall candle holder in wrought iron with a large orange glass stone.

Black lacquered, welded wrought iron in an elongated shape with a large polished orange glass stone in the center. Above and under the glass stone three horizontal strips forms a linear pattern. Two twisted squares are places like wings on each side of the glass stone. The bottom is made up by a shallow candle holder, suitable for a large candle up to 3″ (7,5 cm) in width.

The glass piece is placed so the flickering candlelight is reflected and thus creating shadows along the symmetric pattern of the wrought iron. A beautiful wall sculpture that would look amazing at the end of a long hall way or a vintage addition living space.
