Detailed information
TULIP wall sconces by Fog & Morup in the 1940s – fantastic pair of Danish Art Deco brass and and milk-glass bulbs in very good vintage condition!
This fine example of Danish Art Deco style sconces is each comprised of a circular brass plate for base, two thin brass peduncles ending two brass cones with leaf-like rims and a delicate milk-glass shade resting inside each cone. The bottom of the peduncles are covered a rounded rosewood piece to a warmth.
The milk-glass shades resembles delicate tulip bulbs ready to bloom when idle, whereas they glow when lit, providing both upward and sideways directed light. Stunning and a gorgeous addition to any home – accenting a large mirror in a hall way, emphasizing the Art Deco style in the living room, or perhaps framing a large doorway at the end of a hallway.
All original, but rewired with 1,5 m (4′ 11.1″) white plastic cord, fitted with on/off switch placed at convenient height at the cord and Euro style plug – which is easily changed to your specific plug. Tested and fully functional.
Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective bag.
