PURPLE GLASS PENDANT
Charming purple glass hanging lamp with teak top by unknown producer in the early 1970s in excellent vintage condition
PURPLE GLASS PENDANT LIGHT with teak top by unknown producer, early 1970s – Scandinavian Modern purple glass hanging lamp with teak top in excellent vintage condition.
This charming pendant light is made of a cone shaped glass shade with a cone shaped teak piece on top. The glass shade has a pale white inside, and a purple going on lavender colored outer. On top, lies a cone shaped top, adding a stylish touch. When lit, the beautiful purple color turns light purple, almost rose in the tone, and emits a soft warm glow.
A piece clearly inspired by the designs of Jo Hammerborg and Jacob E. Bang, but unfortunately, we have not been able to find a producer or designer credited for this pendant, except for a small cork piece inside the top, stating it to be produced in Denmark. Never the less, it is a beautiful piece with a charming teak top and a gorgeous purple color. It would fit perfectly in a corner near a sitting area, or perhaps in the hallway welcoming guests.
All original, but rewired with 2 m (6′ 6.7″) high end white fabric cord – for safety and beauty. Tested and fully functional.
