Pendant by Holm Sorensen & Co. Danish Mid century design. Rare 1960s multi-layered copper lamp in very good condition.
COPPER pendant by Svend Aage Holm Sørensen in the 1960s. Attractive, rare and internationally sought after piece!
A medium sized (12.6" / 32 cm wide) pendant light - comprised of seven serrated copper ring shaped shades encompassing each other. All acid-treated by Holm Sorensen's special process (this is his signature), giving each copper ring a black rim and a wondrous specter of copper colors.
The seven tiers give way for the light to be emitted softly through the narrow space between the rings, while the warm copper colors the ambiance in a warm slightly orange / red tone.
Gorgeous 1960s pendant with many applications - imagine it over modern dinning table to accent a warm mid century atmosphere or maybe hung over a stairwell in the hallway, providing a cozy illumination to welcome your guests - no matter where you place them - it will for sure attract positive attention and start conversations!
Please note, that I have a slightly larger version of this pendant up for sale in my shop - that one is comprised of nine tiers instead of seven tiers as this one features. Please contact me if you are interested in both.
All original, but rewired with 2 m (6' 6.7") high end quality, black fabric cord - for safety and beauty. Tested and fully functional.
