Attractive glazed pottery vase with brown and blue tones by Jette Helleroe (presumed) for AXELLA (presumed), 1970s.
GLAZED VASE - pottery vase by Danish ceramicist Jette Hellerøe (presumed) in the 1970s for AXELLA Design. Attractive glazed pottery vase with brown and blue tones - in excellent vintage condition!
Up for sale here is a square shaped pottery vase with a tall body and a short cylinder shaped neck, glazed (glossy) in brown, earthy tones with hints of orange. The tall body is decorated with various circles, emphasized by their clear blue glaze (glossy), contrasting the earthy brown. The inside is covered with a light yellow glaze.
This piece is not hallmarked, but the design and use of colors, tells me that it is most likely a piece by Jette Hellerøe for AXELLA design, the most famous pottery maker, that worked for AXELLA Design.
An attractive 1970s vase that would fit perfectly in the living room on a credenza or shelf.
