About the design

The TYPE 5193 is a pair of brass wall sconces from the 1960s by Svend Aage Holm Sorensen and produced by Holm Sørensen & Co.

Three serrated brass plates, each shaped like an elongated leaf and acid-treated in the special process of Holm Sorensen to bring out a wondrous specter of colors.

The bulb mount is part of the wall mounting, and each leaf is placed on small hook on the mounting, placing the bulb in the center of the lamp. This gives way for a softly emitted illumination upwards and sideways, creating a gorgeous light-pattern in the evening and a dazzling sculptural light in the daytime.
