About the design

The PH Spejl (PH Mirror) was designed by Poul Henningsen in the 1960s and produced by Louis Poulsen.

A round mirrored glass (16.1″ / 41 cm in diameter) floating in a concave shell, white lacquered metal frame, lit from behind the glass to illuminate and frame the glass in a warm glow. Behind the mirrored glass, you will find three bulb mounts, fit for candelabra bulbs of max 40 Watts each. Top-hinge on the glass is spring-loaded for easy access, when a bulb needs changing. The glass also conceals the intact labels.

It features the original pull cord switch, located under to the wall mounting house, on the back-side, and the original cord with EURO-style plug – easily changed to suit your specific plug or changed to fit existing hard-wiring.

This large mirror was designed by Poul Henningsen in the 1960s and produced by Louis Poulsen for a short while. Unlike many of the design Poul Henningsen created, there is little to no available information, or history, to find about the mirror with concealed lights.

An EXTREMELY RARE PH SPEJL that is an absolute collectors grade piece. Obvious uses include bath room, but it could equally would fit in the hallway welcoming guest, allowing for a final make-up check before leaving home, or even in a living or room as much a piece on display, as a visual extension of a space.
