About the design

This ceramic table lamp, No. 3025 is designed by Gerd Hiort Petersen for Søholm, Denmark in around 1960.

A beautiful ceramic table lamp with an intriguing colored glazed. The lower half of the slightly heart-shaped body is glazed with a deep dark brown and covered with an embossed repetitive pattern – you have to look close to see it, but once noticed, it captivates your attention. The glaze turn more light and golden in the nuances on the upper half of the body to end in a light sand colored glaze that continues onto the slightly narrowing neck. The neck features a decorative collar from where the glaze turn dark again toward the top.

Hallmarked Soholm Denmark Stentoj and numbered 3025 underneath.
