About the design

This lamp stand, No. 1083 is designed by Einar Johansen for Søholm Stentøj. Einar Johansen designed a huge number of ceramic pieces for SØHOLM, Denmark in the period 1958-1968.

It is a smaller glazed ceramic lamp stand with featuring a short wide body and a narrowing neck. The body is decorated with a charming pattern incised on the top plateau of the body, while the rest of the lamp stand is kept smooth to really show off the beautiful matte or glossy glaze.

Hallmarked underneath with the signature EJ (for Einar Johansen) and number.
