About the design

This piece is the No. 1026 ceramic lamp stand by Einar Johansen in the 1960s for Soholm. The glaze is designed by Svend Aage Jensen.

A beautiful ceramic lamp stand with curved body, short neck and an absolutely gorgeous colorful glossy glaze. The glaze spans over light blue, almost pale purple tones on the neck to golden, almost yellow tones on the body – with hits of red and green mixed into it all. On the upper half of the body, it is decorated with an embossed striped repetitive pattern resembling leafs, while the neck is kept smooth to really show off the magical transition of colors.

Underneath hallmarked with the Søholm Stentøj logo, marked Handmade and signed EJ. The gorgeous glaze is designed by Svend Aage Jensen, who designed several glazes to Einar Johansen.
