About the design
Delta Klokkependel (Bell pendant) is produced by Louis Poulsen in 1967 and part of a series of lights called Delta.
A opal glass shade (hand blown glass), shaped like a bell, and with chrome-plated top. It hung in many Danish schools and institutions up during the 1970s and 1980s. The opal glass makes it ideal for this purpose – it radiates when lit and provides a good diffused room illumination.
The Delta Klokkependel have since the decade found it way into many private homes – like lighting up a hall way or in the modern kitchen. The delicate high-glossy opal, the shinny chrome-plated top combined with elegant shape gives this beauty a very modern feel.
It was produced in three sizes; a diameter of 9.8″ /25 cm, a diameter of 11.8″ (30 cm) and a diameter of 13.8″ (35 cm). This is the largest version.
